Our Origins
Mississippi Model Security Council started in 1979 with the goal of exposing high school students to the world of international politics through stimulating debate centered around solving world issues. These debates are simulated United Nations Security Council Sessions, and provide students an environment in which they can be competitve, while also being surrounded by constructive critique as they enhance their debating and negotiating skills.
